1/19/10 Update
We can hardly believe that it is 2010 already. Megan and I are still adjusting to writing the 10.
God brought us back sooner than we expected, but we know that He is sovereign. He allowed us to sell our car. From the time we posted it on Facebook till the time we had a verbal agreement was 45 minutes! That was a relief to us as well as finding a garage for our other car.
We had no problems with our flights and we meet many teams and organization traveling to Haiti via the DR. We need God’s people to pull together in prayer for us. We have a small cargo plane that was on the way to the DR to help us in our relief efforts. It had to stop in the Bahamas for a routine maintenance check. They found that a cylinder and a rod were broke and needed to be replaced. This is a big engine problem. There goal is to get it to us by Monday. We need this plane to help us in organizing events and transport both goods and people to Haiti. Please pray!!!
The Lord has taken us to a city called Jacmel, which is about 40 minutes south of Port-au-Prince. The mayor of the city has opened the doors to us. To date, they have received no relief. Many are using Jacmel’s small airport, but taking their supplies elsewhere. SCORE is looking to make a long term commitment in this town, to not only meet physical needs but also meet spiritual needs with the Gospel.
Even while we are working to help Haiti, we still have all of our groups in the DR. Right now we have 2 construction teams and a medical team. We are very busy and need your prayers for strength and guidance.
