While my brother (Ray) was in Peru, my dad had a week off from work so he came down to visit us in the DR. We had several projects for him to help us with. Due to many bugs and 1 tirantula in the house, we made our priority to put screens on all the windows and to screen in our back porch. The porch ended up being a bigger job than I had expected. Even though we bought treated wood, it would not have been a good idea to let it sit in puddles of water, so we had to pour some concrete. Yes, I had joy of mixing the conrete and dad poured and leveled it (all in the rain!).
It was a joy to have my dad down for the week. I enjoyed working side by side with him and showing him around a little bit.
